Responsibilities

As an Enterprise Architect you will work on high-value enterprises and lead technology strategy across a broader team of cross-functional resources within an agency. You will partner with product managers and own the technical aspects of an engagement, and the corresponding executive relationships (e.g. CTO, CIO, architects). Responsibilities include;

  • Engaging with C-level executives to define and execute on enterprise cloud strategies.
  • Defining and executing on the technology strategy by engaging highly technical teams (other solutions architects, technical account managers, cloud professional services consultants, and consulting/managed services partners).
  • Analyzing application portfolios, identifying dependencies and common infrastructure platform components, and assessing migration feasibility.
  • Soliciting feedback from enterprise customers and influencing future iterations of our enterprise platform.
  • Assisting with cost/benefit modeling and creating compelling business cases/total cost of ownership studies for migration.
  • Assisting in defining product roadmaps and driving buy-in across complex organization structures.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in Enterprise Architect level positions or above related to enterprise-level infrastructure management, software design or development, infrastructure architecture, content distribution, database architecture; IP networking; IT security; data center operations; enterprise applications
  • Expert level ability to understand the business domain of the customer or partner and the business problems the customer or partner is facing, with the intent to solve the business problems
  • Expert level ability to interact with senior leadership within a customer or partner organization
  • Understand enterprise architecture frameworks and enterprise IT management frameworks, identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications, and global infrastructure assets
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of customers or partners across multiple disciplines
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills; high degree of comfort with technical and executive audiences

Desired Skills:

  • Certified Integrated Enterprise Architect Practitioner (CIEAP) or similar Certifications
  • Experience using the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) and/or DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF)
  • IBM System Architect Experience a plus
  • Experience managing customer relationships and key business stakeholders
  • Broad enterprise systems experience including SAP, Oracle, MSFT, and custom Java/.NET applications

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, math and/or science and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Suitability/Public Trust Background Clearance
