Responsibilities

This role requires computer engineering, computer systems analysis, computer science and software engineering. Develops, modifies, and applies computer modeling and programming applications to analyze and solve mathematical and scientific problems affecting system and program performance. Participates in all phases of scientific and engineering projects such as research, design, development, testing, modeling, simulating, training, and documentation.

Medical Support Systems are a collection of applications, websites and servers that provide business automation for processing of medical certificate applications within the Office of Aerospace Medicine (OAM) of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

 

NOTE : Contingent upon Approved Public Trust Clearence 

 

Required Skills:

  • Experience with  ASP.NET, C#
  • Experience with Java Script, J Query, bootstrap, css
  • Experience with Oracle Procedures/Writing Queries
  • Good analysis skills for trouble shooting Production issues
  • Analyze the code for the cross-impacts while developing defects and enhancements for releases
  • Work on Web Service API s for exposing functionalities to client applications.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot production related issues, production support, enhancement and bugs fixing for application and database
  • Work with different system owners for application integrations and data exchange between systems
  • Involve in code review
  • Involve in transition process of the applications when converting from Delphi to .net from different vendor
  • Involve in Database Analysis/Design/Normalization/Manipulation/Clean up processes using Oracle
  • Work and provide manual adhoc reports as per the customer requests
  • Involve in updating various design and installation instruction documents
  • Responsible for creating deployment packages for production
  • Maintain the development and test environments of the enterprise applications

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge or working experience with silverlight
  • Currently delphi(is limitedly used) having the knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge or working experience with DevXpress reports
  • Knowledge or working experience with Telerik controls
  • Experience in both agile and traditional water fall development approaches supporting FAA development and maintenance activities
  • Assist different vendors as needed while applications are converted from Delphi to .Net
  • Support requirements analysis to develop LOE for requirements provided by the customer

 

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Math and/or Science and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • For Information Technology Systems Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Network Analysis/Design/Test, any combination of degree and relevant experience will be considered if the relevant experience requirement is satisfied.
  • The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Suitability/Public Trust Background Clearance
